Frankfort's Tree Lighting Kick's Off Village's Holiday Events
The annual ceremony will be Nov. 30, and it will feature a visit from Santa Claus.

FRANKFORT, IL — The village's annual tree lighting ceremony has been set for the end of the month. The event will be at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 30 at Breidert Green in downtown Frankfort, the village announced Monday.
Students from Hickory Creek Middle School will play holiday music at the ceremony. Volunteers from the Lincoln Way Interact Club also will serve refreshments.
"Of course, as usual, Santa will be arriving to greet the youngsters,” Mayor Jim Holland said in a statement.

The tree lighting ceremony starts Frankfort's holiday events. The Frankfort Historical Society's House Walk is Dec. 1, and the village's annual Christkindl event will be Dec. 2 and Dec. 3. Frankfort's Cookie Walk is Dec. 9 and 10, and the Midnight Madness shopping spree will Dec. 15.
