Prairie Park Path Resurfacing Approved By Frankfort Board

The project is funded by a grant from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity.

FRANKFORT, IL — At its Tuesday meeting, the Frankfort Village Board approved a bid for the resurfacing of the multi-use path around Prairie Park.

Trustee Gene Savaria said the project is part of a broader initiative funded by a $600,000 grant from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity aimed at enhancing Prairie Park.

In August, the Board also approved improvements for the Prairie Park playground. The playground renovation included new playground equipment and a rubberized safety surface.
