Rich's Pizza Joint To Donate Proceeds To Underground Railroad

FRANKFORT, IL — Good pizza is a treat, but combining good pizza with a good cause leaves an even better taste in the mouth.

Rich's Pizza Joint in Frankfort is teaming up with Operation Underground Railroad, a charitable organization dedicated to uncovering and eliminating child sex trafficking. Rich's will donate 15 percent of all pizza sales from 3-9 p.m. July 14, according to Christy Pearson, catering manager at Rich's.

"This is a very personal issue," Pearson said. "We want to create awareness of it for the community."

Operation Underground Railroad has been active in fighting against child sex trafficking and sexual exploitation in 26 states and 28 countries, according to information on its website.
