Spring Clean-Up in Frankfort
The Public Works crew is gearing up to begin brush and branch pick up.

There may be snow on the ground, but Frankfort's Public Works Department is gearing up for brush and branch pick up.
Beginning April 1 and each Monday through mid-October, the Village sends around a truck to collect your brush and branches. There are a few requirements:
- Branches must be placed at the curb by 7 a.m. on scheduled pick up days. Brush crews run the route only once.
- Only branches 1 inch in diameter or larger will be picked up. Public works officials say, "smaller materials do not go through the equipment properly."
As for branches over 12-inches in diameter, the Village will pick them up as long as they're cut into 18-inch lengths. Later in the day, a separate truck is designated to collect the larger waste.
