Traffic Accident Eastbound I-80 at LaGrange Road

Illinois State Police report an accident about 3:30 p.m. today in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 80 at LaGrange Road in Mokena. There is no information about injuries.

The eastbound lanes of traffic on I-80 are open, but traffic is slow, ISP said.

Shortly thereafter traffic backups southbound on Interstate 355 near Intersate 80 in New Lenox are to blame for a problem with two semi-trucks, ISP say. Traffic is moving at a slow pace, according to police.
