LAST CHANCE: Win Lunch At Enrico's To Celebrate L-W East's Title
DEADLINE EXTENDED: Find out how to join Patch for a free meal at the Frankfort restaurant in honor of the Griffins's state football crown.

FRANKFORT, IL — Before this past weekend's 2017 Class 8A state football championship between Lincoln-Way East High School and Loyola Academy, Frankfort Patch editor Joe Vince and Wilmette Patch editor Tim Moran held with sports tradition and made a friendly wager on the game's outcome. They called it Patch's Put Up and Eat Up High School Football Challenge.
The bet's terms were simple and centered on food: If the Griffins won, then Tim would buy lunch for Joe at Enrico's in Frankfort. If the Ramblers were victorious, then Joe would pony up for a meal at the Chuck Wagon in Wilmette.
In case you missed it, L-W East beat Loyola on Saturday, 23-14, capturing its second state football title in school history. And the Griffins's victory means a victory for Joe and his appetite.

- Parts of the lunch will be recorded and posted online at Frankfort Patch and Frankfort Patch's Facebook page. The winner eating with Joe and Tim will be expected to appear in any videos, photos and stories documenting the lunch. If you're camera shy, you probably shouldn't enter the challenge.
- The winner will need to have a flexible schedule, and if the first reader chosen can't make it, another winner will be drawn from the remaining entries.
Patch also would like to thank Enrico's owner Harry D'Ercole Jr. for reaching out after hearing about the Put Up and Eat Up Challenge and offering to help make this winning bet even more of a winner. It's yet another example of what makes Frankfort such a great community.
