3-Day Rummage Sale Planned At Geneva Church

Just about everything from household items to higher-end fashion pieces will be for sale at the popular rummage sale.

GENEVA, IL — The United Methodist Church of Geneva is planning a multi-day rummage sale at the end of October.

The church, located at 211 Hamilton St. in downtown Geneva, is hosting its popular rummage sale from 6-8 p.m. Oct. 23, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 24, and from 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 25. The $10 fill-a-bag deal will run on the final day.

Just about everything from household products and furniture to clothes, books and children's items will be for sale. Jewelry and higher-end fashion pieces will be sold in the church's upstairs parlor.

"Do not miss the amazing assortment of gently used items," reads a news release from the church. "The church has more than two floors of great bargains and the library is overflowing with delicious homemade baked goods for sale.

Proceeds from the spring's rummage sale totaled more than $20,500. The funds were distributed to more than a dozen local organizations, including Northern Illinois Food Bank, TriCity Family Services and Meals on Wheels.
