Geneva student graduates with computer engineering degree
Willem van der Meij, from Geneva, earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering degree in Computer Engineering from Cedarville University.

Local student graduates from University of Nebraska-Lincoln
Alexander J. Busch of Geneva was among 569 graduates who received degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln during a combined graduate and undergraduate commencement ceremony Aug. 17 at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
Busch earned a Bachelor of Science from the College of Arts and Sciences.
Chancellor Rodney D. Bennett presided over the commencement ceremony. The graduates are from 46 countries, 36 U.S. states and 60-plus Nebraska communities.

Geneva student is Cornhusker Marching Band member
Brock Mason of Geneva is part of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's 300-member Cornhusker Marching Band, which will make its 2024 football season debut Aug. 31 at Memorial Stadium with pregame and halftime performances at Nebraska's home opener against UTEP.
Mason, a sophomore majoring in actuarial science, plays trumpet.

Missouri State University's summer 2024 dean's list includes Geneva student
Each semester, students at Missouri State University who attain academic excellence are named to the dean's list.
For undergraduate students, criteria include enrollment in at least six credit hours during the summer semester and at least a 3.50 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
Sara Leuer of Geneva made the list. Leuer was among more than 1,100 students named to the summer 2024 dean's list.
