Concepts Unveiled For Geneva Mill Race Redevelopment Project
The concepts were unveiled during a June 26 open house in Geneva, according to the City.

GENEVA, IL — Four concepts for the Mill Race Redevelopment project in Geneva were unveiled to the public Wednesday during an open house at Riverside Receptions and Conference Center in Geneva, the City said in a release. According to the City, these preliminary concepts (detailed below) were based on the feedback given during the planning charrette's June 24 public presentation and several community stakeholder interviews.
According to the City's website, highlights from each concept include:
- Eat Out: A 10,000 square-foot restaurant (including public space) located at the corner of State Street (Route 38) and Route 25, with parking spaces behind the building.
- Home On The Water: A mixed-use development with features including 5,600-square-feet of commercial space, 22 town homes, parking and public open space.
- Corner Passage: Includes 117 apartments, seven town homes, public and private parking, public space, and a quasi-public amenity space building.
- State & Bennett: Designed to include 10 town homes, 83 apartments, and public and private parking.
