Coronavirus In IL: City Of Geneva Facilities Closed To Public
City of Geneva facility closures come just days after Gov. J.B. Pritzker announced a statewide stay-at-home order due to the coronavirus.
GENEVA, IL — As of Monday, the City of Geneva's facilities are closed to the public, City officials announced in a news release. This comes just a few days after Gov. J.B. Pritzker announced a statewide stay-at-home order, as Illinois' coronavirus case count hit more than 1,200 and health officials reported the 12th death from the virus Monday.
According to the news release, the City will continue to provide public safety and essential services to the community, and added that due to reduced staffing levels, there may be a delay in responding to non-emergency inquiries.
