Coronavirus In Kane County: 25 Deaths As Of Monday
As of Sunday, 416 people were confirmed to have the coronavirus in Kane County, according to health officials.
KANE COUNTY, IL — Twenty-five people have died in Kane County from the new coronavirus as of 1 p.m. Monday, according to health officials.
The Kane County Coroner's Office said in a Facebook post Monday that anyone who died in a Kane County hospital is, by law, considered a Kane County death.
"The Kane County Health Department and the Illinois Department of Public Health are researching where these individuals contacted the virus and are reporting them as such. This explains the difference in numbers," the coroner's office added.

In addition, the coroner's office said that out of respect for those who have died and their families, only the age, gender, town of residence and date of death are provided.

The Kane County Health Department said Monday that 47.4 percent of confirmed cases of the coronavirus in the county occurred in people under age 50.
The coroner's office reminds residents to continue to follow social distancing recommendations provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Illinois Department of Public Health, and the Kane County Health Department.
As of Sunday, the Kane County Health Department reported 416 people confirmed cases of the coronavirus across the county including the above deaths.
