GENEVA, IL — The Geneva Commons retail center sold for almost half what its owners paid for it a decade ago, Crain's Chicago Business reported.

A venture of New Jersey-based Lamar Companies purchased Geneva Commons for $63.8 million late last month, a deep discount from the $124.5 million that LaSalle Investment Management paid for it in 2013.

A source told Crain's the 440,370-square-foot Geneva Commons is about 88 percent occupied.
