Geneva School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Geneva is August 23. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Geneva School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 11/10: School Improvement - Half Day Students
• 11/20 & 11/21: Parent Conference Full Day - No School Students
• 11/22-24: Thanksgiving Break (No school)

December

• 12/22: End of Semester (High school)
• 12/25-1/5: Winter Break (No school)

January

• 1/15: M.L. King's Birthday (No school)
• 1/19: School Improvement - Half Day Students
• 1/19: End of Quarter (Middle School)

February

• 2/19: Presidents' Day (No school)

March

• 3/1: Parent Conference / Institute- Half Day Students
• 3/1: End of Trimester/Elementary
• 3/2: Teacher Institute (No school for students)
• 3/26-30: Spring Break (No school)

May

• 5/18: School Improvement - Half Day Students
• 5/28: Memorial Day (No school)
• 5/31: End of Trimester/Elementary, End of Quarter/Middle School, End of Semester/High School

June

• 6/1-7: Emergency Days
