Inaugural Road Rally Planned For Artists Sunday In Geneva

Artists Sunday, after Thanksgiving, is a nationwide campaign to encourage people to buy art directly from artists and local shops.

GENEVA, IL — The Sunday after Thanksgiving, Geneva will be enlivened with the inaugural Artists Sunday Road Rally, a free, self-guided tour of local artists, studios and shops.

The Geneva Chamber of Commerce is promoting the event happening between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Nov. 30, during which time participating locations will host live demonstrations, art exhibitions and event specials.

These businesses and studios are participating: The Winding Deerpath, Midwest Nice, Tinker Belz Art, Studio Patty D, Art by Emilia, Evoke Salon and Gallery, Children's Art Classes, and the Geneva Public Library.

Guests attending the Road Rally can collect raffle tickets at each location for a chance to win prize packages, according to a news release.

Artists Sunday is a nationwide campaign to encourage people to buy art directly from artists and local shops. It follows Small Business Saturday and Black Friday. This year's event in Geneva is paid for by a grant from the City of Geneva.
