Kane County Resurfacing Project Will Include Kirk Road In Geneva

A portion of Kirk Road in Geneva is included in the second phase of Kane County's annual resurfacing program that's scheduled to begin soon.

GENEVA, IL — The second phase of Kane County's annual resurfacing project is scheduled to begin the week of Aug. 11.

The county will replace the curbs and gutters on Kirk Road from Hill Road in Geneva to Lakeside Court/Illinois Avenue in St. Charles as part of the project. The work will also include resurfacing the county highway's shoulders.

Construction will take place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and might include temporary lane closures, Geneva officials said in a news release.

The overall resurfacing program is expected to be completed in four months, if weather permits, officials said.

The city is directing locals with questions about the program to David Sitko, the Kane County construction manager, at 630-313-0754.
