New Start Date Chosen For Anderson Boulevard Water Main Project
When the project commences, crews will work in the northbound lane of Anderson Boulevard near the State Street intersection.
GENEVA, IL — The Geneva Public Works Department has landed on a new start date for water main improvements on Anderson Boulevard near State Street.
The city announced Tuesday morning that the project would begin at 8 a.m. April 22. Work was originally scheduled to start April 14 but got pushed after utility locates were not completed in the area, officials said.
During construction, drivers using State Street won't be able to turn left or right to head north on Anderson Boulevard. The city published a map detailing the temporary lane closure and prohibited turns. Richards Street and McKinley Avenue will serve as detour routes.
