New Timeline Set For Delayed Delnor Hospital Water Main Project
City officials expect construction to begin soon on the water main project near the hospital following a few delays.
GENEVA, IL — After several delays, construction on the water main project near Delnor Hospital is expected to begin next week, Geneva officials said Wednesday.
A contractor was set to mobilize equipment during the week of July 21, and construction was scheduled to begin the following week, Patch reported. The delay is a result of locating utilities and other schedule conflicts, city officials said.
Geneva is helming the project to replace a water main near the Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital Health and Fitness Center to "enhance water service reliability for the area," according to a news release.

The main driving lane in the Fitness Center parking lot will be open, but other drive aisles may temporarily close. Certain sections of the parking lot could also be blocked off to accommodate construction.
Delnor Drive will remain open during the project.
