State Street Lanes To Close For Water Service Repair
A section of State Street will be down to one lane in each direction to make way for the scheduled construction.

GENEVA, IL — Two lanes of traffic will be closed for the majority of Tuesday to make way for a scheduled water service replacement.
State Street will be shut down to traffic from Anderson Boulevard to McKinley Avenue beginning at 8 a.m. Tuesday. Traffic will be limited to one lane in each direction, while the interior westbound lane and curbside eastbound lane will be closed to allow crews to access the water main in the middle of the street and at 902 W. State St.
Drivers should expect traffic delays as a result of the project and are encouraged to use alternate routes. Construction is expected to be completed before the evening rush hour, Geneva officials said.
