BATAVIA, IL — A section of McKee Street in Batavia will be closed for the majority of the summer as a result of infrastructure work, city officials said Monday.

No through traffic will be allowed between Stonefield Way and Van Nortwick Avenue or on Van Nortwick Avenue from Wilson Street to Illinois Avenue beginning Tuesday.

The closures will make way for a city-led project that includes new pavement and curbs as well as updated water infrastructure. Construction is expected to continue through August, officials said.
