Water Main Break Shuts Down Seventh Street In Geneva
The Geneva Public Works Department is working to repair the break on Tuesday afternoon.
GENEVA, IL — A section of Seventh Street is shut down Tuesday afternoon due to a water main break, Geneva officials said.
The Geneva Public Works Department is working to repair the problem, which required Seventh Street to close at 1:45 p.m. from Franklin to Fulton streets. Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area altogether but should use Sixth Street if needed.
Crews expect Seventh Street to reopen later this afternoon, according to a news release. City officials said they'll provide an update when the project is completed.
