GLEN ELLYN, IL — After initially being denied a spot, the League of Women Voters Glen Ellyn (LWVGE) was permitted to march in the village's 2025 Fourth of July Parade.

The group say they were told their application was denied because someone from "felt harassed" by someone from the LWVGE when they requested a change to their placement in the parade. Following a "cordial and informative discussion," LWVGE say they learned from the committee that "the source of misbehavior last year was misidentified as a LWVGE member," a news release said.

More than five dozen LWVGE members marched in the parade, clad in all white, a symbol of women earning the right to vote.
