Coronavirus Booster Clinic Planned At Ackerman SFC In Glen Ellyn
Residents age 12 and older can get free coronavirus booster shots at the Jan. 29 clinic. Flu shots will be available at a fee.
GLEN ELLYN, IL — Residents who are 12 or older can get a free coronavirus booster shot at a clinic that will be held at Ackerman Sports and Fitness Center Jan. 29. Flu shots will be available at the clinic for residents who are 3 years old or older, but a fee will apply.
The clinic will offer Janssen, Moderna and Pfizer doses, but only Pfizer doses will be available to visitors who are between 12 and 17 years old. The following items are required to get a coronavirus booster shot at the event:
- CDC vaccination card or similar proof that you have received both of the Pfizer or Moderna shots five or more months ago or the Janssen shot two or more months ago
- Driver's license or state identification card
- Insurance information
No walk-in appointments will be available. Click the link to register for a coronavirus booster shot between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Jan. 29.

Flu shots will be administered for a fee, but no out-of-pocket costs will apply for residents who have a PPO insurance plan or Medicare. A parent or guardian's signature is required for a minor to get the flu shot. Those who would like to schedule a flu vaccine can stop by the front desk of Ackerman or call 630-317-0130.
