District 41 To Hold Forums For Full-Day Kindergarten Feedback
District 41 will hold forums to allow community members to offer feedback about full-day kindergarten.
GLEN ELLYN, IL — Glen Ellyn District 41 has scheduled four sessions inviting community members to offer feedback about full-day kindergarten. The district will offer full-day kindergarten classes in 2025 after work to expand Churchill School is completed.
Here are the public events that are planned.
- Oct. 7 at 6:30 p.m.: Kick Off Committee of the Whole Meeting at Hadley Junior High School, 240 Hawthorne Blvd., Glen Ellyn
- Oct. 17 at 7 p.m.: Churchill Elementary School, 240 Geneva Rd., Glen Ellyn
- Oct. 22 at 1:30 p.m.: Glen Ellyn Public Library South Meeting Room, 400 Duane St., Glen Ellyn
- Oct. 26 at 9 a.m.: District 41 Central Services Office, 793 N. Main St., Glen Ellyn
In June 2023, District 41 approved a full-day kindergarten initiative that includes an addition to Churchill School. The expansion will add 12 classrooms and will allow students throughout the district to participate in full-day kindergarten, though half-day kindergarten will remain an option.
