Free Ice Cream, Police Demos, More At National Night Out In Glen Ellyn
Glen Ellyn will take part in National Night Out on Aug. 5 with a family-friendly event at Lake Ellyn Park.

GLEN ELLYN, IL — Live music, drone demos, touch-a-truck and more will bring community members and police officers together for National Night Out 2025 in Glen Ellyn. The family-oriented event, one of thousands to be held nationwide, is set for Aug. 5 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Lake Ellyn Park.
Visitors can see police cars and emergency vehicles firsthand and learn about police work from live demos conducted by officers and evidence technicians. Live music will be performed by Little Miss Ann, an award-winning Filipina-American performer based in Chicago.
Food will be available for purchase and there will be free ice cream while supplies last.

National Night Out got its start in 1984 as an initiative to build relationships between community members and local police departments. Now, events are held throughout the U.S. during the first Tuesday in August each year.
