Intelligentsia Cup Comes to Glen Ellyn Saturday

The Intelligentsia Cup, a new addition to the second largest bike race series in the country, is coming to Glen Ellyn.

Glen Ellyn is about to rejoin the cycling world in a big way.

The Intelligentsia Cup, a new addition to the second largest bike race series in the country, is set to bring the exciting sport of bike racing back to the Village of Glen Ellyn on Saturday, July 16.

Large fields of amateur to pro level bike racers will come from all over the country to race and crowds of spectators are expected to be attending this renewed and exciting event.

“All of the Webb boys are honored to be a part of bringing the exciting sport of bike racing back to the Village of Glen Ellyn, we have been a part of this community for a long time and adding to its vibrancy is something that we are thrilled to support,” says Brad Webb.

The Tour of Glen Ellyn is already creating a loud buzz amongst bike racers due to the unique and challenging course.

Running 1.4 miles around the perimeter of Lake Ellyn, the course includes 14 turns, a roundabout, elevation changes and a twisting chicane.

All of this happens around Lake Ellyn Park that will also allow spectators to have a unique experience, as they can watch the action happen at multiple points from the central vantage point of the park.
