Glen Ellyn Twins Serve Same Role on Same Navy Ship

Adam and Erik Stevenson joined the armed forces together in January 2011 and continue to work and serve at each others' sides.

Glen Ellyn twins Erik and Adam Stevenson grew up together, graduated from Glenbard North together, went to the College of DuPage together—so when Erik joined the Navy in 2011, it was only natural that Adam be right by his side, the Suburban Life reports

“Because we were twins, I pretty much had to go along with it,” Adam Stevenson told the paper. “[But] I think it’s the best big decision I’ve ever made… The work we do is easier because we can help each other out.”

According to the paper, the 22-year-old twins now serve together on the USS Abraham Lincoln (currently being overhauled in Newport News, VA) as electronic technicians second class on identical six-year tours of service, while working to finish their college degrees and supporting each others’ endeavors.
