Oktoberfest Begins Tonight

And the weather should be perfect.

The second annual Glendale Heights Oktoberfest begins tonight, Thursday, Sept. 12, at Camera Park. The festival, which runs through Sept. 22, will feature authentic German food prepared by renowned Chef Wolfgang of the acclaimed Schnitzel Platz Restaurant. There will also be authentic Oktoberfest Bier imported directly from the Hofbrau Brewery, and Weihenstephan Hefe Weiss Bier.  

Live entertainment includes strolling German "Oompah" entertainers.  There will be a petting zoo, pony rides, a pumpkin patch, plant sale, vendors and more.

Hours are Monday through Thursdays from 5pm-10pm, Fridays, 5pm-midnight, Saturdays noon to midnight, and Sundays from noon to 10pm.  Held rain or shine.

Admission is $8 for adults and free for children 10 and under.
