Some Trash Collection Rates To Increase Aug. 1 In Glen Ellyn
The new solid waste collection rates were approved by the Glen Ellyn Village Board in July.
GLEN ELLYN, IL — Glen Ellyn residents will notice an increase in their trash collection rates as of Aug. 1. The new rates will reflect in increase in solid waste collection via Groot Industries, which has a five-year contract with the village.
The following updated rates were approved by the village board in July and will take effect Aug. 1:
- 35-gallon curbside pickup: $16.77
- 35-gallon curbside pickup for seniors: $15.43
- 35-gallon rear pickup: $26.08
- 35-gallon compost pickup: $12.38
- 65-gallon curbside pickup: $21.07
- 65-gallon rear pickup: $33.48
- 65-gallon compost pickup: $14.39
- 95-gallon curbside pickup $23.58
- 95-gallon rear pickup: $33.48
- 95-gallon compost pickup: $17.91
- Solid waste/yard waste sticker: $2.94
- Leaf sticker: $1.77
- Cart exchange: $21.11
