Yard Waste Collection Begins For 2024 Season In Glen Ellyn

GLEN ELLYN, IL — The weather is warming up (eventually), which means Glen Ellyn residents can start getting their yard waste ready to be picked up by the village. The 2024 Yard Waste Collection will resume April 1.

Here are the guidelines for yard waste collection in Glen Ellyn:

• Place a yard waste sticker ($3.09) on every container
• Put yard waste in kraft paper bags or unlined 33-gallon garbage cans
• Make sure containers are facing the street and separate from other trash
• Fasten brush and branch bundles with twine or place them in a bag or container
• Place yard waste at the curb on the Monday that coincides with your area's collection week

Yard waste collection will take place through October.
