Yard Waste Collection To Resume In Glen Ellyn for 2025 Season

GLEN ELLYN, IL — Yard waste pickup is set to kick off April 7 in Glen Ellyn for the 2025 season.

To be eligible for collection, yard waste must be placed in a 33-gallon trash container without a liner or in a kraft paper bag. Each container must have a green yard waste sticker affixed to ensure collection.

Certain guidelines apply for branches, which are as follows:

• Place branches and brush in a kraft paper bags or in a 33-gallon trash container without a liner
• Branches can also be bundled together with twine
• A yard waste sticker must be affixed to each bundle, bag or container
• Branches must not exceed four feet in length or three inches in diameter
• Bundles must not weigh more than 50 pounds

To ensure pickup, residents must place their yard waste items on the curb by 7 a.m. on the day of their normal trash collection.

Yard waste pickup will continue through mid-December.
