Glenview Student Recognized For Academic Excellence At Albion College

Louis Kramer, of Glenview, received the Louis Upton Rowland Award for Outstanding Senior Music Major during Albion College's recent Honors Convocation. These awards are bestowed by faculty in each department and are intended to recognize their most promising and accomplished students.
Kramer is majoring in music education with concentrations in the Fritz Shurmur Center for Teacher Development and secondary education and is a member of the Prentiss M. Brown Honors Program. Kramer is the child of Jennifer and Kenneth Kramer, of Glenview, and is a graduate of Glenbrook South High School.

Bauerschmidt Elected to Membership Into Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi

Mark Bauerschmidt, of Glenview, was recently elected to membership into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society, at Syracuse University. Bauerschmidt is among approximately 20,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year. Membership is by invitation only and requires nomination and approval by a chapter. Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors are eligible for membership.
