Kelly Pollina Named 2024-25 Peer Mentor At UW-Whitewater
Kelly Pollina, from Glenview, who is studying Communication Sciences and Disorder at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, is a peer mentor for the 2024-25 academic year. Peer mentors serve as a resource to new students during their first semester at UW-Whitewater, leading them through the Warhawk Welcome, joining them in their New Student Seminar section, and checking in individually. Throughout the fall semester, peer mentors remain in contact with new students and help them feel at home on campus.

Emily Shim Named Angel Scholar At University of Michigan in Ann Arbor
Emily Shim, of Glenview, has been named a James B. Angell Scholar. Scholars are students who earn straight A's after two or more consecutive terms with a minimum of 14 elected credit hours each term. Emily has earned University Honors Designation each semester as a student at the University of Michigan. The University Honors designation is awarded to students who earned a 3.5 grade point average or higher during a term. The student must have taken a minimum of 14 credit hours during the term. Shim, a sophomore, is a graduate of Glenbrook South High School

Emerson Student Horwitz Performs in NewFest's Limber, A Love Story
Emerson College student Nathan Horwitz, of Glenview, participated in Emerson Stage's production of Limber, A Love Story from February 26 to March 1 at the Greene Theater in Boston, MA. Written by L M Feldman and directed by Adin Walker, the play premiered at NewFest 2025: New Play Workshop. It examines the history and storytelling of the contemporary circus, with an ensemble cast that moves backward in time.
