Convoy Of 100 Semi-Trucks Set To Create 'Significant' Delays In Glenview: Police
The trucks are participating in a pilgrimage Saturday afternoon to the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Des Plaines.

GLENVIEW, IL — A convoy of more than 100 semi-trucks will be traveling through Glenview Saturday en route to Our Lady of Guadalupe in Des Plaines as part of a pilgrimage. The procession will "significantly" impact traffic and cause delays.
According to Glenview police, the trucks will be traveling northbound on Milwaukee Avenue from Greenwood Road starting at around 1:30 p.m., then will turn westbound on Central Road from Milwaukee Avenue, continuing through to the shrine.
Motorists encouraged to plan alternative routes and use extra caution. The trucks will be escorted by the Cook County Sheriff's Office.

The Niles Fire Department also sent out a traffic alert regarding the procession, saying it will impact traffic there at around 1 p.m.
