Ink & Stitch Creations Launches in Skokie: Custom Printing with a Mission
Affordable, Local, and Purpose-Driven Production-With Embroidery Coming Soon

Skokie - A new chapter is beginning at The Douglas Center in Skokie. The nonprofit, which has served adults with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities for more than 25 years, has expanded its work skills programs with the launch of Ink & Stitch Creations—a full-service custom printing shop with a purpose.
From screen printing and heat press designs on t-shirts, sweatshirts, and mugs to custom logos on hats and spirit wear, the team at Ink & Stitch is ready to deliver high-quality products for schools, businesses, and community groups. A commercial embroidery service will be added soon, bringing even more ways to customize items such as uniforms, towels, and tote bags.
What makes Ink & Stitch unique is that every order does more than just provide branded gear. The work directly supports skill-building and paid employment for Douglas Center participants, giving adults with disabilities meaningful opportunities to contribute and grow.

“This new venture allows us to meet a need in the community while creating pathways for inclusion and independence,” says Rifath Khan, CEO of The Douglas Center.
Local organizations are encouraged to “shop with purpose” by keeping their printing and embroidery projects close to home—saving time, avoiding overseas delays, and investing in a mission that strengthens the community.
