Man Accused of Hacking Computers to Extort Racy Pics from Northbrook Woman

Police believe there are other victims.

A 24-year-old Glenview man is accused of trying to extort explicit photos from a young Northbrook woman and two teen-agers. Demitrius Patton, 2112 Rugen Road, hacked into computers, stole “compromising pictures” and threatened to post them on the Internet if his victims did not provide him with more explicit photos, according to Northbrook police.

Northbrook police Cmdr. Mike O’Malley told the Pioneer Press the arrest was the result of a four-month investigation. Patton was arrested on Nov. 25. Patton is charged with soliciting child pornography and felony intimidation. Patton’s bail was set at $60,000.

Police believe there are other victims and urge anyone who may have been threatened in this manner to call Northbrook investigators at 847-564-2060.
