Man Who Fled Scene of Accident Arrested for DUI on Milwaukee

A second driver was arrested for DUI and speeding more than 26 MPH over the limit.

The following information is from the Glenview Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Domestic Battery

Luke Ramos, 21, of 1700 block of Bluestem in Glenview, was arrested Oct. 17 at the Glenview Police Station and charged with Domestic Battery, Obstructing a Peace Officer and Battery (to a police officer) after an investigation into a Domestic Battery incident that occurred earlier. Bond was set at $5,000.00 D with a court date set for Oct. 27.

Retail Theft

Charles Picardi, 58, of the 500 block of Riley Lane in Lake Zurich, was arrested in the 1900 block of Tower Rd. Oct. 17 and charged with Retail Theft. He was released on $1,000 bond with a Nov. 24 court date.

Battery

Alexander Guz, 65, of 400 block of E. Bay Tree Ct., in Vernon Hills, was arrested in the 4200 Block of Willow Rd. and charged with Battery Oct. 17. He was released on $1,000 bond with a Dec. 10 court date.

Driving Under the Influence

Waclaw Baran, 63, of the 2900 block of Luna Ave. in Chicago, was arrested in the 3500 block of Milwaukee Ave. at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 17 and charged with Driving Under the Influence-Alcohol, Driving Under the Influence-BAC .08 or more, Leaving the Scene of an Accident-Vehicle Damage, Operating Uninsured Motor Vehicle, Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid Accident and Improper Lane Usage. He was released on $1,000 bond with a Nov. 24 court date.

Driving Under the Influence

Michael Chiakulas, 23, of the 900 block of N. Quince Ln. in Mount Prospect, was arrested near the intersection of West Lake Avenue and River Road at 4 a.m. Oct. 18 and charge with Driving Under the Influence-Alcohol, Speeding 26-34 MPH over the posted limited and Improper Lane Usage. He was released on $1,000 bond with a Nov. 7 court date.
