More than 500 Sign Petition Opposing Proposed Medical Marijuana Dispensary in Glenview
Those signing said they do not think the Lake Ave. location would be appropriate for the proposed business.
More than 500 people have signed an online petition urging Glenview’s Village Trustees not to approve a medical marijuana dispensary at 3240 W. Lake Ave.
The petition says the location “is unacceptable for our community.” It cites its proximity to a new bike path between Glenbrook South and the Glen, increased traffic in the area, and the fact that they do not believe it will be convenient to customers.
Greenleaf Organics is hoping to open in that spot and has gotten approval from the Glenview Plan Commission.
