GLENVIEW, IL — Motorists can expect some delays in the coming months as the resurfacing of two major roads will soon begin. The work, part of a $1.1 million project, is expected to be completed by November, according to Village officials.
Work on the following roads will begin next week:
- Wagner Road resurfacing — Cook County will begin resurfacing Wagner Road next week following completion of the Village's water main installation. The resurfacing will take place between Glenview Road and Willow Road.
- Milwaukee resurfacing — The Illinois Department of Transportation announced that the resurfacing of Milwaukee Avenue, from Glenview/Dearlove Road to north of Kennicott Lane, will begin Tuesday, weather permitting.
Officials said the project will also include constructing new ADA-compliant sidewalk ramps. Access to residences and businesses within the work zone will be maintained throughout construction.
