Solomon, New Board Members Set To Join Glenview Chamber Of Commerce

Craig Solomon will begin his term as the President of the Chamber of Commerce at a ceremony that will be held at Valley Lo Club on Jan. 10.

GLENVIEW, IL — The Glenview Chamber of Commerce will introduce new members next month as they begin a new term of office as the New Year begins, village officials recently announced.

The 2024 Chamber Board of Directors will begin their term of office on January 10. Executive Director Meghan Kearney will install the new officers and board members at a ceremony at Valley Lo Club in Glenview, the chamber recently announced.

The new Executive Board will continue its term through 2026. The new board consists of President Craig Solomon of Wesley Child Care Center, Immediate Past President Michael Moylan of Wintrust Community Bank, Vice President Laurie Jensen of Illinois Bone and Joint Institute, and Treasurer Robert Rounsfull of Rounsfull Financial Group.

Solomon holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and Psychology from National-Louis University. He brings over three decades of relevant experience from both the public and private sectors of education, chamber officials said.

Solomon previously held a senior-level administrative and management position with the Chicago Public Schools and was also Senior Vice-President of a private consulting firm specializing in the education sector. He began his career with Wesley Childcare in 1991 working in the school-age programs and rejoined Wesley Childcare in April of 2013 as Executive Director to serve Wesley families and the community.

Solomon is active on various community committees/boards within the non-profit, childcare, civic, and healthcare arenas in Glenview and Chicago. Wesley Childcare Center is a non-profit, non-sectarian childcare serving the Glenview community since 1972.

The new Directors being installed are April Doremus of Blended Health & Smoothie Bar, Katie Galbas of Glenview Bank & Trust, Maria Knecht of Endeavor Glenbrook Hospital and Roger Uy of Glenview Park District

They are joining the current board members Jerry Doetsch of The Doetsch Team, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago, Cynthia Funai of CKF Acupuncture, Aaron Share, of Compass, and Lynne Rine of Weiss Ace Hardware.
