A World of Flavor Awaits at Glenview’s International Culinary Celebration

Taste of Glenview hosted by Glenview Rotary and Glenview Fire Department is this Saturday

Get ready for a global culinary tour without leaving town. The Glenview Sunrise Rotary Club is set to host the much-anticipated Taste of Glenview this Saturday, November 8, 2025, transforming the Glenview Park Center into an international festival of food and community from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

This signature event invites food lovers and community supporters alike to enjoy an unforgettable night of international bites, live music, and local spirit. For a fee of $65 per ticket at the door, guests will sample an exciting array of small plates from a dozen of Glenview’s favorite restaurants, offering everything from savory dishes to sweet treats.
The participating culinary establishments are:
* Café Lucci
* Greenwood Grill
* Rio Bamba
* Joe Donut
* Valley Lodge Tavern
* Awesome Juice Bar
* Gusto Italiano
* North Branch
* Lazy Dog
* The Clove
* Siunik
* Jets Pizza
Beyond the delectable fare, the event serves a greater purpose. "The funds raised at the annual Taste go to non-profit organizations that support our community and its citizens," said Scott Daniels of the Glenview Rotary. The event is held in partnership with the Firefighters Union #4186, which will use the proceeds to support the “I Am Me” Burn Camp.
For local restaurateurs, the Taste is a perfect opportunity to give back. Ankur Sharma, co-owner of the new Indian and Nepalese restaurant The Clove, expressed his enthusiasm.
“We’re truly honored to participate, especially knowing that this event supports our local first responders — the men and women who dedicate their lives to keeping our community safe,” Sharma said. “Giving back to those who serve is something we deeply value, and this event provides a wonderful way to do that through the universal language of food.”
The Clove will showcase its most beloved dishes, serving Samosas, Veg Biryani, and Afghani Chicken. “These dishes represent the rich blend of flavors from India and Nepal that our restaurant is known for,” Sharma added. “Being part of Glenview has been an amazing journey so far... Participating in Taste of Glenview is our way of saying thank you.”
The event, which began in 2023, is a cornerstone of the Rotary Club's mission. “The Rotary Club of Glenview Sunrise exists to do good in the community and support its citizens,” explained Daniels, who currently serves as the club’s Environmental Protection and Pollination Chair and is a past president. “I felt it was time to give back, and the best way to do it was to join the Rotary. Through this event, everyone in Glenview can give back to our community by participating and have fun doing it, too.”
The Glenview Park Center is located at 2400 Chestnut Avenue.
A Note on Glenview's Culinary Scene: While The Clove is a new restaurant that has quickly become known for its community involvement, another high-profile new opening, Jackman and Company, is notably absent from the event. Jackman’s opening this year was supported by a $4 million investment from the village. The village also recently purchased the Patio Shop for $2.1 million to build a public parking lot a half-block away to accommodate the restaurant, which has only four dedicated parking spaces.
