Cardboard Boat Regatta Saturday
If you still want to participate in Saturday's 7th annual Cardboard Boat Regatta, you won't be up a creek without a paddle. Registration will be accepted on the day of the event.
Registration for the Grayslake Park District's 7th annual Cardboard Regatta begins at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 28. Preliminary heats start at 10 a.m.
This family-oriented event is for all ages. Challenge yourself to design and build a human-powered boat made of corrugated cardboat capable of completing at least three heats around a 200-yard course.
Cost is $20 per boat to participate. Admission is free.

There will also be kayak and canoe races. Bring your own boat.
The regatta takes place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Jones Island Park, located at 243 Harvey Ave., in Grayslake.
