The College of Lake County seated its newly elected trustees this week—incumbent Barbara D. Oilschlager, of Grayslake, who has served since 1989, and Dr. Philip Carrigan, of Waukegan, who previously served on the board from 2005 to 2011.
Both were elected April 9 to a 6-year term.
Carrigan replaces John W. Lumber, who served since April 2007.

The board also conducted its annual reorganization, selecting Amanda Howland, of Lake Zurich, to serve as chairman; Jeanne T. Goshgarian, of Round Lake, to serve as vice chairman; and Philip Carrigan to serve as secretary.
"I am looking forward to working with everyone," said Howland. She then praised outgoing chairman, Richard Anderson, whom she described as having "worked harder for the college than anyone."

The board also seated the new student trustee, Kendall Welton, of Wauconda, to serve a one-year term.
