Coroner IDs Body Found In Lake As Missing Hunter

Preliminary autopsy results show Patrick Serzynski, 60, of Lake Villa, died from drowning.

LAKE COUNTY, IL β€” The Lake County Coroner’s Office has confirmed a missing hunter is the man whose body was found in Fourth Lake over the weekend.

Preliminary autopsy results show Patrick Serzynski, 60, of Lake Villa, died from drowning, according to the coroner’s office news release.

Serzynski was last heard from on Oct. 30 when he was hunting in his duck blind on Fourth Lake, which is located south of Lindenhurst and west of Gurnee.

Search crews recovered a body from Fourth Lake on Saturday. The Lake County Coroner’s Office was notified and responded to the scene, and on Monday, positively identified the body as Serzynski.

The incident remains under investigation by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
