Coroner IDs Round Lake Beach Woman Hit, Killed By 2 Vehicles

GURNEE, IL — The Lake County Coroner's Office has identified the 56-year-old Round Lake Beach woman hit and killed by two vehicles in Gurnee Monday night as Teresa Williams.

The incident occurred shortly after 9 p.m. Monday at Washington Street and Hunt Club Road, according to a news release from the Gurnee Police Department.

Police say Williams, who was wearing all black clothing at the time, was walking north in the left lane of Hunt Club Road when she was hit by a Buick Encore, which was headed north on Hunt Club Road.

The woman landed in the right lane of traffic on Hunt Club Road and, minutes later, a Honda Civic drove around the Buick and hit the woman.

Williams was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville and later pronounced dead.

Preliminary results from an autopsy show Williams died from blunt force injuries.

No one else was injured in the collision.

The crash remains under investigation by the Major Crash Assistance Team and the Gurnee Police Department.
