Lake County Sheriff's Deputy Saves a Life
Lake County Deputy Michael Bassi helped revive a 60 year old woman who had fallen out of her wheelchair Friday night.

From Lake County Sheriff's Dept: On January 27, 2017 at approximately 8:38PM, Lake County Sheriffβs Deputies responded to the 20000 block of West Rollins Road, Unincorporated Lake Villa, to assist paramedics with an unconscious 60 year-old woman.
Deputy Michael Bassi arrived at the scene and found the woman fell out of her wheelchair, had no pulse and was not breathing. Deputy Bassi immediately began CPR and deployed his Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Deputy Bassi administered an AED βshockβ to the woman and continued CPR. The woman regained a pulse and began breathing.
Grayslake Paramedics arrived and transported the woman to Advocate Condell Medical Center in stable condition.

Sheriff Mark Curran said, βThanks to Deputy Bassiβs quick and decisive actions a life was saved. I couldnβt be more proud of Deputy Bassi and thankful he successfully saved a personβs life.β
Undersheriff Ray Rose said, βThis is another example of a life being saved by a Lake County Sheriffβs Deputy and exactly why we place such a major emphasis on training. Deputy Bassi saved someoneβs life because of his acquired skills and quick actions.β
