Leider's Greenery Offers Poinsettias In All Sizes, Colors

has a vast array of poinsettias for the holidays. They have red, speckled red, short, tall, narrow or small. They also offer poinsettias that are pink or purple, blue or painted with sparkles or a combination.

"We grow all of our own product," said Steve Leider, who has worked in the family business since 1974. He currently runs the shop with his wife, Marti and their small crew of dedicated employees.

"We started growing our poinsettias in July and August," he said.

They supply many of the local churches with poinsettias for Christmas decorations.

"The plants range in price from $4.95 to $48, depending upon the size," Leider said. "We offer a high quality plant product and a high quality of service. My staff is top notch."

No gardening or planting question is too basic.

"People come in here with a question or a problem, and we take the time to help them," Leider said, of what sets them apart from the big box stores. "It is so hard to find good service these days."

Customers can also buy real Christmas trees from the Christmas Tree Man who sells his trees from a small patch of land in front of Leider's.

"We buy our own tree from him," said Marti Leider. "We've done that for the past 30 years and have never had a bad tree."

Whether it is poinsettias, annuals, perennials, roses or vegetables - depending upon the season -  Leider's is all about the quality.

"Our poinsettias can last for months," Leider said. "I want to give my customers the best, not the cheapest."
