Local Teams Moving on in Destination ImagiNation Competition

Destination ImagiNation Illinois held its 2013 Far North Regional event March 2 at Highland Middle School in Libertyville.

Teams from schools across northern Illinois competed in events that saw them compete in a variety of events, from building vehicles that would accurately travel specific distances for "In the Zone" to performing a five-minute improv skit for "Change in Realitee."

The Illinois Destination ImagiNation Affiliate Tournament is slated for April 13 at Northern Illinois University.

Here's a look at the teams, and the schools they're from, that will advance to the next level of competition in each event:
