Rudolph's Furniture Gallery Offers JCP Express Outlet

Rudolph's Furniture Gallery, a fixture in Grayslake since 1970, has partnered with JCP Express to offer a convenient service for customers. The store now has a JCP Express outlet to give Penneys customers convenient access to both shopping and shipping.

"Customers can order anything online from JCPenny, and save time and money by having it shipped to my location," said Tim Rafferty, owner of . "They can come here, instead of driving to other Penney's locations in Vernon Hills, Pleasant Prairie or McHenry."

At Rudolph's, Penney's customers can place orders through JCP.com, pick-up orders, do returns or exchanges, purchase JCP gift cards and make JCP credit card payments.

Rudolph's is located at 11 S. Route 83, Grayslake, at Center Street and Route 83. This is Rudolph's first venture into partnering with another retailer.

"It just made sense," Rafferty said. "It is easy for Penney's customers and it brings new customers into our store."

He started the service in December but wanted to let more people know about it now. By shipping items to Rudolph's instead of their home, customers can save money. He said that standard shipping on a piece of furniture ordered from JCP might be $112 if shipped to the person's home; it would only be $80 if shipped to Rudolph's. The store can then deliver the item for a nominal charge.

"The real benefit is for shipping," Rafferty said. "We have a lot of customers from the Grayslake Senior Center who prefer this option. It is also good if people don't have access to computers. They can come here to order things online."

Lisa Rafferty, Tim's wife who also works at the store, said the JCP Express Outlet has been good for business.

"We've had about 10 people per week come in to take advantage of this service," she said. "Once people come into the store, they take a look around and can't believe how big it is in here."
