Alana loves belly rubs and understands the word 'treat.' Meet her at Grayslake's Save-A-Pet.

People wonder how I ended up in Lake County, when I was registered to someone that lived in DuPage County. Unfortunately the microchip’s information was not updated so I was officially declared homeless.
When no one came looking for me, I came here quite overweight, about twice my ideal weight. That’s probably why I don’t really like to walk too much. But I love belly rubs!
I spent some time in a foster home where my foster family said I was completely housebroken, very easy-going and loving, never barked and know the word 'treat.'

I get along with dogs and spent some time living with a small dog so I would probably do well with cats, too.
Pretty much every weekend you can find me hanging out with some of Save-A-Pet volunteers at various events.

Alana is about 8-years-old, spayed, up-to-date on routine shots and rabies, heartworm negative, on preventative meds and is micro-chipped. She can’t wait to meet her new family at Save-A-Pet.Â
