Dold Bus Tour Stops in Grayslake

Congressman Robert Dold (R-10) spent the first day of his “Working Together” campaign bus tour visiting spots in the northern Lake County portions of the 10th District.

"It is always great to just get out and talk to people," Dold said, as he explored the Grayslake Farmers Market. "This tour is another way to reach out to people."

Dold met with residents at the Lake Street Metra Station; ; the with IL State Rep. Sandy Cole, IL Rep. Sid Mathias and former IL House of Representatives Majority Leader Robert Churchill.

Dold walked around the Grayslake Farmers Market and ended his day in Grayslake at , where a reception was hosted by Churchill and Grayslake Mayor Rhett Taylor.

During the afternoon, Dold held an event called "Working Together to Improve Manufacturing - Factory Tour and Employee Town Hall" at Meyer and Sons in Libertyville. He also stopped by Grandma V's Pancakes in Mundelein and the Park on Park Cruise Night Drop in Mundelein with IL Representative Ed Sullivan.

Dold said that as a small business owner himself, he understood the plight of small business owners who are struggling in this economy. Prior to being elected to Congress, he ran Rose Pest Solutions in Northfield, IL, a small business and the oldest pest management company in the United States, according to his website.

"I know there are a lot of people who are hurting out there," he said while in Grayslake. As a small business owner and operator, Dold said he knows how hard it can be for families to work hard and save money for the future in this challenging economy.

"My goals are to assist business owners and keep focusing on creating jobs," Dold said.

Day 2 of Dold's "Working Together" Bus Tour on June 14 includes stops in Libertyville, Lake Forest, Waukegan, Zion, Vernon Hills, Highland Park and Highwood.
